William "Bill" S. Zabriskie

William "Bill" S. Zabriskie, age 86, of Limestone and formerly of Caro, MI, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. He was born on January 29, 1929 in Milford, Utah to the late Sheldon and Hannah (Gillins) Zabriskie. Bill moved to Detroit in the early 1950's looking for work. Not only did he find work, but he met Lorena F. Weir, and they married on December 17, 1953. Bill owned and operated Zabriskie's Market in "Beautiful downtown Watrousville." Bill and Lorena moved to the Upper Peninsula in 1984 when they purchased Wandering Wheels Campground and operated it until 1991. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home for many years.
Bill is survived by his wife of sixty-one years - Lorena Zabriskie of Limestone; children - Vickie (Dennis) Bragg of Trenary and Robert (Judy) Zabriskie of Virginia; grandchildren - Marc Bragg, Jonathan (Isla) Bragg, and Cabot Zabriskie; great-grandson - Kyle Bragg; sister - Ruth Zabriskie, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
